Crockpot Beef Stew

There’s nothing more delicious than a warm bowl of beef stew on a cold night…except when you barely have to break a sweat to make it!

This Crock-Pot beef stew is perfect for busy families, just prep, toss and let the slow cooker do all the work.

It’s so easy (and gluten-free) that you can even get your spouse to do it for you! {Not that I would know anything about that ;)}

So here’s what I had him do: Take cubed stew meat and place it in the Crock-Pot, then toss it with gluten-free four, salt and pepper.

Next he added garlic, carrots, potatoes, onion, celery and beef broth…stirred it all up with a bay leaf and turned on the slow cooker.

That’s it!

4 hours later dinner was ready when I got home and life was simple again…at least until it was time to put our son down to sleep.

You too can have an amazing dinner experience with little to no work or clean up.  Full recipe and instructions below for your beloved spouse to follow. You’re welcome!

I love this stew - it's so easy to have the slow cooker do all the work! #crockpot #recipe #dinner

Crock-Pot Beef Stew

  • 2 pounds stew meat, cubed
  • 1/4 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • salt & pepper, to taste
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 6 medium carrots, peeled and chopped
  • 8 purple potatoes, washed & quartered
  • 1 white onion, diced
  • 4 celery stalks, washed & sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth, or enough to just cover all the ingredients
  • 2 bay leaves

Place the meat in the Crock-Pot and toss with flour and salt and pepper. Take garlic and all vegetables and place in Crock-Pot. Pour beef broth over everything, add in bay leaves and stir. Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours or cook on low for 8 hours. Remove bay leaves before serving and enjoy! Store in Tupperware for up to 1 week.

If you’re looking for a SUPER easy and quick to clean up, you have to invest in these slow cooker liners from Reynolds.
