Matcha Recipe & Review by

Disclosure: I received a package of 100% Pure Organic Matcha from Matcha Organics complimentary for review. As always, all opinions are my own. Full PR & Disclosure here.

Matcha, matcha, matcha!

If you haven’t heard of matcha or haven’t stopped to try it – now is your chance!

Why would you want to try it?

Matcha is the entire green tea leaf ground up into a fine powder so it’s packed with even more antioxidants than regular tea. Matcha is best known for its cancer fighting properties, ability to lower blood pressure, and boosting physical endurance and focus.

Matcha Organics was kind enough to send me their matcha for review so I did some investigating and taste-testing and here’s my pros & cons:

  1. Products is USDA Organic.
  2. Package size is 4 oz – great price/serving when purchased through
  3. Matcha Organics is a US-based company located in Brownwood, TX.
  4. Culinary grade green tea product.
  5. Bonus e-book of recipes when product is purchased.
  6. 60-day risk free money back guarantee – no questions asked.

  1. The packaging and the website doesn’t state where the matcha came from so I reached out via email to the company. They emailed me back within 24 hours stating that this product (link) is manufactured in China and distributed in Texas. They are coming out with a mid-grade Japanese matcha and cerimonial grade Japanese matcha very soon. (Note – it does say ‘Made exclusively in China’ in very small print on the back of the packaging in the bottom right corner. I just didn’t see it.)
  2. I would give the taste a 3.5/5 compared to the Japanese matcha I’ve tried in the past. Note – I’ve never tried matcha from China before.
  3. There isn’t a food label on the product so no serving size is indicated.

All in all I have enjoyed my matcha from Matcha Organics and I will continue to use and look forward to their upcoming release of their Japanese matcha.

Now that you know just how AWESOME matcha is for us – how about a BONUS?!
