Because sometimes I’m just in the mood for a bite!
I was craving a bite of something this weekend…but it had to meet 3 conditions:
It had to be healthy, have protein, and be a bit like a treat.
I didn’t want anything too big, just something I could pop in my mouth, savor and take the edge off my hunger.
After a few ingredient ratio attempts, I finally got it!

Protein Oats & Coconut Peanut Butter Bites
Serving Size: 1 ball
Ingredients:
- 2 scoops Vanilla Bean Protein Powder (I used Orgain Organic Protein Plant-Based Powder)
- 1/2 cup gluten-free rolled oats (I used Bob’s Red Mill)
- 3/4 cup creamy Earth Balance coconut and peanut butter spread
- 1 Tablespoon Manitoba Harvest Hemp Hearts (click here to learn the benefits of hemp hearts)
- 1 Tablespoon Organic Raw Cacao Nibs
Directions:
Place all ingredients in food processor and mix thoroughly. Scoop out 12 equal portions and form into balls using hands. Enjoy right away or cover and place in refrigerator.
