12 Ways to Show Yourself Some Love

February is here and it’s the month for love!

Love for your family & friends, love for your fur-babies and most importantly, love for yourself! It may sound a bit silly, but just as positive affirmations can make a huge change in our spirit, so can loving yourself. And positivity attracts positivity, so you’ve got nothing to lose and all the love to gain!

So how are you supposed to love yourself?

Easy…find something that makes you happy…and do it!

Here are my TOP 12 ideas to show yourself some love this month (and all the rest of the month’s of the year)!

  1. Make a list of 6 things you love about yourself and then post them on your mirror. Each time you walk by that mirror, you’ll be reminded of your awesomeness and that will manifest into self-confidence.
  2. Try out that new workout you’ve been hearing about at the gym. Take the morning off and go try that new fitness class you’ve been dying to try. You may find a new passion or just get a really good sweat out of it!
  3. Spend the night by yourself. Take a night off from the family or your friends and do something just for you. Rent a movie, binge on a Netflix Original or just dance in your living room to your favorite tunes.
  4. Treat yourself to that massage or pedicure. A little indulgence can really help take the edge off of a hectic week or month!
  5. Eat healthy & delicious food. Your body will thank you.
  6. Start a Happy Journal. Grab a cool notebook and start recording all of your happy moments.
  7. Call an old friend. Social media is amazing, but there’s nothing like a really great conversation with a dear friend.
  8. Hang out with friends. Often times we get so caught up in the daily routine…find a sitter or leave the kids with your spouse and hit the town with your besties.
  9. Check out your town. Go play tourist for a day {or the weekend} and see what cool stuff really exists in your neck of the woods.
  10. Read all the books! Check out what’s hot on iTunes or Amazon, download and start enjoying a new adventure.
  11. Meditate. Download an app like Headspace or hop over to YouTube and find a guided meditation to follow.
  12. Clean up your space or redecorate! There’s nothing like having that perfect space that you can retreat to that makes you feel happy.
